yesterday i saw a programme on the slow death (real...not philosophical) being experienced by the poor workers and their families who are involved in silica stone grinding and cutting. The programme was on National Geographic. It was really pathetic the way the lives of so many people were being wasted little by little day after day. Once the disease i.e. silicosis sets in its a slow and painful death with NO KNOWN cure....
